Use Those Dead Moments
If you want to achieve your goal, maximize your time and do away with those dead moments.
What are dead moments?
Dead moments are just like the dead air you experience while listening to the radio. Dead moments are those times when you cannot do something that is related to the tasks you are bound to do. It is the time when not even a single thing has been accomplished. It is just like the radio where the disc jockey can’t say a thing or can’t play a song. Dead moments are just like that.
However, at most times, dead moments can also be productive and helpful in reaching your desired goal. In fact, it can help you stimulate your mind to be able to work again and gain the momentum you have before you have experienced the so-called dead moment.
When can dead moments happen to you?
Dead moments happen when for example, you are about to write an article, a report, a paper or something and you cannot find the inspiration to do so. No matter what you do, words just won’t come out and it keeps you leaving empty handed.
All you do is just stare at your computer and wait for something to happen and words would come out of nowhere. Yet, in reality words really don’t come out of nowhere. You need your brain to produce those words, the inspiration to let the words flow. Now, this is what dead moment is all about. It is when you know you need to do something yet you can’t even do a single thing to finish it.

What to do when dead moments happen to you?
If you have a lot of things to do and this task is a bit crucial for you and worse, you are having one of your dead moments, always stop what you are doing.
At this moment, do not force yourself to accomplish the task because no matter what you do, if you do not have the inspiration, the task you are bound to do will never be done. To avoid you from doing this, when there are dead moments, always do something else.
You can either clean your house, office or desk; you can make a phone call to a good friend, run an errand, perhaps read a book or do the simpler tasks you have on your to-do list. In this way, your body will produce new energy that will inspire you to get the former job done. It would stimulate you and encourage you do finish your former task.
When reaching for your goal, do not allow dead moments to happen to you. Always maximize your time and do something with it. In maximizing your time, you will be surprised by the end of the day on how much time you are going to accomplish by doing the little things you ought to do rather than just slack off and wait for things to happen miraculously.
Always be smart with the way you use your time and always remember the old saying that “Time is gold” and you can never ever turn back time. So do not waste a single time just because you cannot do something about it.
